Nick Dempsey

Dempsey1 Nick Dempsey is welcomed as a W4CR Ambassador by David Tuttlebee

Nick Dempsey RSX World Champion and Olympic Team Windsurfer (bronze medalist in 2004) recently met with W4CR founder David Tuttlebee and Nick has agreed to act as an Ambassador for the charity.

David said, "Nick will help raise awareness of W4CR throughout his travel and competition and will share his experiences through a blog on the W4CR website. To have the UK's windsurfing Olympiad as an Ambassador is fantastic and, supported by his wife, Sarah (a gold medalist in the 2008 Olympics) I know that they will be promoting the charity at every opportunity (and even his 7 month old boy can wear a W4CR fleece soon)".

Nick said, ‘’I am very pleased to become an Ambassador and provide my support whether I am at home in the UK or abroad for W4CR. My role will be to help raise both awareness and the profile of W4CR. W4CR’s fundraising is supporting cancer research, while also providing education and support for people living with cancer. Please check out my updates on the W4CR website and don’t forget, get on the water for the 2010 Sunrise Sunset challenge with events taking place up and down the UK on Sunday May 2nd"
